Benjamin Klipfel is a nonprofit cultural and marketing executive with a background in communications, marketing, theatre and organizational health.
Klipfel currently serves as the Senior Marketing and Public Information Manager for the City of Eugene, Oregon’s Cultural Services and Recreation Divisions, and was previously the Executive Director of the Alexandria Area Arts Association, a multi-faceted producing and presenting community theatre in the heart of West Central Minnesota.
Klipfel holds a Master of Arts degree in Theatre and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Design. Klipfel has vast experience with event planning, event and production marketing, theatre producing, strategic planning and strategic marketing initiatives, assessment, organizational health, board development, and grant writing.
Klipfel is an active civic member, and has served on a variety of boards and advisory councils, including Downtown Merchant and Development Associations and the Minnesota State Arts Board which manages the Minnesota State Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund, a function of the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment passed by Minnesota voters in 2008 which appropriates 19.7% of the sales tax collected from the Legacy Amendment to arts and culture.
